Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Communication Manager to enhance and strengthen our organizational communication strategy. In this role, you will lead internal communications, coordinate messaging across teams during exciting periods of growth and transformation, and champion ecoinvent's strategic vision with external stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of organizational narratives and ensure clear, compelling, and aligned communication across internal and external audiences
• Oversee content and editorial direction of communication for CEO and senior leadership to ensure quality, consistency, and strong storytelling
• Develop high-quality thought leadership materials, including white papers, opinion pieces, and other strategic content that position ecoinvent as a leading voice in the sustainability field
• Coordinate and lead internal communications during times of transformation, growth, or organizational change to foster transparency and alignment
• Manage high-stakes and crisis communications with a calm, structured approach that builds trust and ensures timely, sensitive messaging
• Represent ecoinvent externally with clarity and credibility in sustainability-focused discussions, effectively articulating the organization’s strategic vision

Your experience

• Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editorial judgment skills, enabling the creation of clear, persuasive communication content across a variety of audiences
• Skilled in leveraging digital tools and social media platforms to effectively distribute and amplify messages, support strategic campaigns, and increase organizational visibility across multiple channels, in collaboration with other stakeholders
• You have demonstrated experience working within the sustainability field 
• Effective collaborator experienced in aligning messaging across leadership, sales and operational teams to drive unified communication. Previous people management experience is welcome
• Demonstrated success in executive communication within international or mission-driven organizations, with the ability to distill complex topics into impactful narratives
• High level of interpersonal sensitivity and discretion, with the ability to navigate culturally diverse and confidential environments
• Strong background in change management and crisis communication, with a steady, discreet approach to sensitive situations
• Comfortable acting as an external spokesperson, with experience at the intersection of strategy, communications, and marketing
• Fluent/native in English, with the ability to communicate effectively across written, spoken, and visual formats
