Customer Success Lead

We are seeking a best-in-class commercial professional to lead our Customer Success Management team. The ideal candidate brings a track record of CSM experience, ideally in the field of sustainability and climate solutions/SaaS. You will play a critical role in our customers’ successful adoption of our products, leading to value realization and growth.
You will lead a dedicated team, and you know how to scale, build talent, and create a client-centric culture. You are prepared to take on a huge transformation process that will radically change how we work with our customers. This means that you are steadfast and ready to guide your team into unknown territories. You will work with collaborators of mixed backgrounds, so good interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and a can-do attitude are essential.
Apart from your hunger for growth you are also driven by our mission at ecoinvent. This role reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.
Your Responsibilities:
- Building a team of exceptional CSMs who will drive all below areas together with you:
- Be responsible for the end-to-end experience of our customers, both enterprise accounts and SaaS providers
- Be responsible for the transition of existing customers from ecoinvent’s current products and services to future ones
- Close collaboration with key account managers to drive a timely transition from legacy licensing models to new subscription services
- Partner with and advise clients to understand their specific business outcomes related to sustainability and net zero strategies. You will help them apply ecoinvent's data and methodologies to their Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), carbon footprinting, and reporting requirements. This includes guiding them through complex calculations and reporting frameworks like the GHG Protocol.
- Serve as the voice of the customer and provide internal feedback on how we can better serve customers to maximize value and retention
- Serve as a Technical Expert: Act as a subject-matter expert for both clients and internal teams. You will provide strategic support to the sales team during the sales process and mentor your CSM team on complex technical and advisory matters.
- Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing CSM team from the ground up, instilling a culture of proactive client support and technical excellence. You will define and implement best practices for client engagement and success.
Your Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant Customer Success or technical client-facing experience, with a significant portion in the field of sustainability, climate, and environmental solutions/SaaS.
- Knowledge of how to build best-in-class practices from scratch, based on your experience in this domain
- Domain Knowledge is a Must: In-depth, practical knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and carbon accounting (e.g., GHG Protocol) is non-negotiable. You must be able to discuss and advise on topics such as Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, supply chain decarbonization, and environmental footprinting methodologies
- A track record of success in building relationships with end users and the ability to extend the network by adding users to our products
- A self-motivated attitude, curiosity to learn, and the ability to deal with a certain level of ambiguity
- A commercial mindset—you want our organization to succeed to growth in a competitive market environment
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken communication) is essential
